VanWest College is seeking a qualified and interested instructor to provide temporary substitute coverage for various AHLEI Hospitality Management courses within our career training Hospitality Management program at our Kelowna campus.

Substitute coverage period: October 2–16, 2026. Classes are delivered in 5-hour daily blocks, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a total of 25 hours of in-class, instructor-led instruction per week. During weeks with statutory holidays, the daily schedule may be slightly adjusted to ensure the full 25 instructional hours are delivered. Friday classes may be delivered online.

Education, Experience & Required Skills:

Relevant industry experience of two years. Hotel Management experience in various departments only, please.
Undergraduate degree or certificate in business or other relevant disciplines OR relevant industry experience of ten years total. AHLEI certification accepted.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
Proficient organizational skills.
Able to work independently and in a multi-cultural collaborative team setting.
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities.
